  5. Improves communication.
  6. Proven to help lower stress.
  7. Aides in achieving goals.
  8. Prompts the reward response as the writer views progress over time.
  9. Brings the mind to rest (releasing obsessive thoughts).
  10. A cognitive exercise that keeps the mind sharp.

To be effective, writing must include searching for understanding/solutions.
